Lawyers Without Borders Student Division at Manchester

Join a movement transcending boundaries and advocate for change!

Who Are We?

Lawyers Without Borders (LWOB), founded in 2000, is a registered charitable entity in the United States, the United Kingdom, Kenya, and Tanzania. Its mission is to advance the Rule of Law and protect the integrity of the judicial process worldwide by using the pro bono resources of volunteer lawyers, judges, and law students.

As a student division, our activities mirror and complement LWOB’s core model mission, philosophy, and neutrality. We help students understand that in today’s world “making a difference” and having measurable impact, particularly in the rule of law sector is important.

Our Mission

  • Foster a deep culture of pro bono amongst students before they enter their professions.

  • Provide opportunities for students to engage in Rule of Law oriented activities.
